As Brave Care continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity to be part of a practice and company changing the way children and families access and receive care. We're looking for an individual contributor with multi-entity experience who can work with the Brave Care team to ensure accurate transactions are processed and precise accounting records are maintained.

In this role, you will:

  • Process general ledger and inter-company activity
  • Create journal entries to the general ledger as required
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to monthly financial statements
  • Maintain reconciliation schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, deferred rent, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Billing and accounts payable processing for multiple subsidiaries and locations
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Research and explain budget variances
  • Handle state and federal tax responsibilities, including sales tax and annually preparing 1099 forms
  • Work with Accounting Manager on accounting and finance special projects

You’ll be a good match if you have:

  • Worked in a multi-entity environment and have experience with inter-company transactions
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online or NetSuite
  • Familiarity with healthcare revenue recognition

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Familiarity with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP standards and internal controls
  • A strong attention to detail, be well-organized, a positive attitude, and have solid interpersonal and communication skills
